Nashville

After our flight was delayed in New York, 1PBear and Katina finally arrived in Nashville and had a look around.

The plants are different in the gardens in Nashville to those in New York or Sydney.

Last day in New York

Today 1PBear and I did a lot of things.
First we walked around the local neighbourhood.

We stopped for a drink and for Katina to do some work.

We went on an aerial tram to Roosevelt Island and met the tram driver.

After lunch we went shopping at Black Friday Sales and 1PBear made some friends.

At the airport 1PBear hid in the christmas tree. Can you find him?

While we waited for the plane we had something to eat.

Next stop Nashville, Tennessee.

Thanksgiving

People celebrate Thanksgiving in the USA. Families get together and have lunch or dinner together.

 1PBear got into the spirit of Thanksgiving sitting in among the pumpkins and squash.

We watched Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. There floats and balloons. Can you recognise any of the balloon characters?

After the parade Katina and 1PBear hung out

and met some local NYPD police

 and visited Times Square.

More sightseeing

1PBear and Katina went to Times Square and saw a miniature Statue of Liberty.

We both went to the theatre and saw a very funny play. 1Pbear got to sit on the stage.

In the park we saw people skating.

The city was getting ready for Macy's Thanksgiving Parade with barriers waiting to be moved.

In Central Park, 1PBear played in the leaves and sat in Alice's lap (from Alice in Wonderland).

When we visited Macy's 1PBear became friends with 2 different reindeers,

and with the local bears! Can you find him?

   He also got to sit in Santa's chair.

Being a tourist

1PBear and Katina spent time visiting some sites in New York.

We went to the top of One World Trade Centre. It is called One World Observatory. It was a birds-eye view of the city. Brooklyn Bridge is in the photo on the right behind 1PBear.

We went to Macy's, a BIG store. 1PBear made friends with some other bears and didn't want to leave. Katina had to go back to Macy's to get him to come with her.

He also saw Macy's famous Christmas windows and the mascot for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

1PBear was very excited by all the Christmas decorations. He loved getting in amongst the branches of the trees and the wreaths.

Trip to New London

1Pbear and Katina visited Don and Debbie in New London.
We caught the train from Grand Central Station. The animals in Madagascar went here.



It was a lovely train trip and we enjoyed the scenery.



Don lives near the water.



They took us to the Pequot museum to learn about the native American people of the area.

 1PBear enjoyed his time at the musuem.



It was dark when we caught the train back to New York.

 It was a good trip.
