Vilnius #1

Vilnius is an interesting place with old buildings, churches, sculptures and art. It is on a big river and a smaller fast flowing river.

These are in our road. What are they?

This one was on the side of a restaurant.

Bear played with the cat in the house.

You can use this wall to see how tall you are.

There are a lot of arches over roads.

Goodbye Klaipeda

On Friday morning we walked around Old Town again.

What does this awning above the door look like?

What is hanging on this tree?

What is this light shade made from?

There was a market. A man was making wooden boxes and trolls.

We had to wait for the bus to Vilnius to come. Can you see Bear?

Bear travelled in style.

We talked to Lily and Jasper when we were on the bus. Very cool.

Sculpture Garden

Klaipeda has a lot of sculptures. There is a park with lots and lots of them. Here are some of them. Can you work out what they are?

What are they looking at?

Curonian Spit

On Thursday we went to the Curonian Spit which is a very very long island of sand. We caught the ferry.

On our walk in the forest we saw many plants

and animals.

What do you think the boxes in the trees are used for?

It was a lovely walk through the trees and on the sand along the Baltic Sea.

Bear played in the sand. Watch out for the waves Bear!

Just before the long end of the spit was a magic box!

We didn't make it to the very end of the spit. Bear wanted to have a rest. And so did Pop/ Tony.

The houses are very interesting. Bear liked hiding. Can you find him?

What do you think these are?

It was a very long walk and we had a rest before catching the ferry back.
