It is a very popular spot for boating, canoeing, swimming and paddle boats as well as having a castle.
It was a long walk from the bus station so we had a drink and lunch by the water.
The castle has a number of buildings,
a moat
a drawbridge,
an inner courtyard, has 3 levels
and a dungeon.
Careful Bear or you will get locked in the dungeon!
The rooms had lots of weapons on display. Do you know what these are?
There were also suits of armour,
treasure found in pots buried in the ground,
a chest with 12 locks
and a 'throne' room.
Bear hid in some of the window holes. Can you see him?
